Zoltan Jobbagy

Academic Director of the Hybrid Warfare Project

Prof. Dr. Zoltán Jobbágy is a military officer of the Hungarian Defence Forces. In his current position he works as Vice Dean for International Affairs at the Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training, Ludovika – University of Public Service and heads the Department of Military Strategy. During his career he has served in various command and staff positions both in Hungary and abroad, worked as researcher abroad, and had the opportunity to serve twice as military assistant to high ranking political and military persons. Apart from obvious involvements into military tactical, operational and strategic matters, his experience includes also human resource/personnel management, international relations, security policy, and operations research and analysis. He holds a Ph.D. in Social and Behavioural Science at Leiden University and a Ph.D. in Military Science at the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University. His research area is military operational and human resource management aspects of joint operations. He prefers research with inter- and multidisciplinary character for which he blends military theory with insights coming from complex adaptive system theory, causation theory, population genetics, and anthropology. He is a member of the Public Body of the Hungarian Academy of Science, and of the Hungarian Association of Military Science. He is also a core member of the Doctoral School of Military Science. As a dedicated sportsman he enjoys paddling and sailing in his old folding kayak, horse riding and epee fencing with his two elder sons.

Edina Zsigmond

Creator and Project Manager of the Hybrid Warfare Project

Edina Zsigmond (1979) is a former diplomat, working with the University for Public Service since 2019. She has been a project manager for EU funded programmes as of 2005, with experience in EU regional and cohesion funds, Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020. As a diplomat Ms Zsigmond was responsible for the drafting of the Stipendium Hungaricum programme, today the most successful international mobility programme in Hungary after Erasmus. She has been working on EU affairs for many years, has been the proof-reader of number of EU study books, author of university study materials on EU communication and protocol, and worked as a trainer among others in career management, intercultural communication and conflict resolution.

Anna Eva Molnar

Professor

Anna Molnár is a Full Professor at the University of Public Service (Budapest) and Head of the Department of International Security Studies. She is the Head of International Public Management bachelor's program and the International Public Service Relations Master. She was the Head of Programme of MA in international studies at the University of Pannonia (Institute of Social Sciences and International Studies, Veszprém) between 2010 and 2013. She received her Ph.D. in international relations from the Corvinus University of Budapest (2003). Her published papers cover a wide range of topics focusing on security studies, EU CFSP/CSDP, Europeanization of Hungary, the European Union’s Mediterranean policy and on the Italian history and politics. She gives courses at Hungarian and foreign universities on EU CFSP/CSDP, European integration, international studies and Italian politics. She had a Bolyai Research Fellowship of the Hungarian Academy of Science (2007–2010). She is a core member of the Doctoral School of Military Science of Ludovika. Within the framework of European Security and Defence College she have been attending the ESDC EAB sessions since 2013, and from 2017 at the sessions of the European Doctoral School on CSDP and the Implementation Group. She has also actively participated in the establishment of the new International Doctoral School on CSDP.

Tamás Csiki Varga

Professor

Tamás Csiki Varga, PhD is research fellow at the Institute for Strategic and Defense Studies of the National University of Public Service (Budapest, Hungary). He has been conducting security and defense policy analysis for ISDS, the background think tank of the Hungarian Ministry of Defense, since 2009. His research is focused on European security and defense, including the defense policy of individual European countries (e.g. Germany), Central European defense cooperation, as well as Hungarian security and defense policy.

Attila Marjan

Professor

Mr. Attila Marjan (1971), economist with a legal degree, and Ph.D. in international relations (2003) has a dual career in public service/diplomacy and academia. He has 16 years of experience in EU diplomacy and at the European Commission (since 1999) . After having worked as Brussels-based diplomat (head of economic and financial unit of the Hungarian Permanent Representation) for several years, he joined the European Commision in 2004. He was cabinet member of EU Commissioners. Later he worked for the European Commission’s Education Directorate General on higher education cooperation, the Erasmus+ and the Jean Monnet programmes. He recently resumed his academic activities as associate professor. He also has almost 20 years of experience in university education and academic research in the field of EU studies, international relations and geopolitics. He was trainer of École National D’Adminstration (ENA, Paris) and the World Bank on EU policies, institutions and decision-making between 2011 and 2013. He is habilitated doctor and private university professor of the Budapest Corvinus University. He is associate professor of the National University of Public Service in Budapest (the university for diplomacy, public administration and military staff). He is also associate professor of the Széchenyi University (Győr, Hungary).

Boglarka Koller

Professor

Boglárka Koller is a full professor, Jean Monnet Chair, head of Department of European Studies and vice-rector for international affairs at the University of Public Service, Budapest. She graduated at the Corvinus University, Budapest as an economist in 1998; she also holds an MA in Nationalism Studies from the Central European University (CEU), Budapest and an MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her main research areas are history and theories of European integration, differentiated integration and multi-speed Europe, Europeanisation in Central and Eastern Europe. She has numerous publications on European integration among which there are three books (Nemzet, identitás és politika Európában – Nations, identities and politics in Europe -, L’Harmattan, Budapest, 2006.; Európa utazása – The Voyage of Europe. History of EU integration; co-author with Krisztina Arató, Gondolat Kiadó, 2015; Képzelt Európa – Imagined Europe; co-author with Krisztina Arató, Balassi Kiadó, 2013) and several journal articles and edited volumes. Recently published an edited volume with Alexei D. Voskressenski: The Regional World Order at Lexington, USA and contributed to L'Europe, une fracture á retardement volume edited by Violaine Delteil and Xavier Richet, L’Harmattan in 2019 with a chapter ‘Differentiated Union. The Only Way Forward or One That Leads to Desintegrations?’ Her latest co-edited volume will be published in July 2021 at Routledge: The Political Economy of the Eurozone in Central and Eastern Europe. Csaba Krasznay

Professor

Csaba Krasznay is an associate professor at the University of Public Service with cybersecurity being his field of research. Currently, he is also the Head of the university’s Institute of Cybersecurity. Besides his activities in higher education, he is present on the market as well. He obtained a CISA certification in 2005, CISM and CISSP in 2006, CEH in 2008, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor in 2012, and CSSLP in 2015. He is a board member of the Magyary Zoltán E-government Association and the Voluntary Cyber defence Cooperation, a member of ISACA Budapest Chapter and the Hungarian Association for Electronic Signature. In 2011, he was voted to the “Security Expert of the Year”.

Eva Jakusne Harnos

Professor

Eva Jakusne Harnos is an Applied Linguist and Political Discourse Researcher. She holds a PhD in Linguistics (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, 2005). Has been working in higher education since 2003. She is an Adjunct Professor, specialising on propaganda research, persuasion, deception, fake news and security studies. A curriculum developer, the author of course books on the language of politics and military terminology. A participant of the EUSecure blended and MOOC curriculum development project funded by the European Union.

Peter Banyasz

Professor

Péter Bányász graduated in Political Science from the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the Eötvös Loránd University; then he obtained his doctorate at the Doctoral School of Military Engineering of the Ludovika University of Public Service. His research interests include the human aspect of cyber security, network theories of psychological operations, and the relationship between privacy and surveillance. He is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies of the Ludovika University of Public Service and a researcher at the Institute for Cyber Security Research. He is also an active member of several scientific societies. He was the founding chairman of the Kápolnai Pauer István Youth Club of the Hungarian Association of Military Science, which as the head of its youth club, mentors several talented undergraduate and master students interested in military science.

Peter Talas

Professor

Dr. Péter Tálas is the Head of the Institute for Strategic and Defence Studies and a senior research fellow of Ludovika-UPS. Péter Tálas was the Dean of the Faculty of International and European Studies at Ludovika-UPS between 2014 and 2019. He was also the Director of the predecessor of the Institute, the Centre for Strategic and Defence Studies. Péter Tálas earned his Master’s degree from Eötvös Loránd University of Sciences, Faculty of Humanities in 1985. In 1993 he completed his PhD in Modern and Contemporary History. In 1997 he was a Candidate in Political Sciences at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Péter Tálas is the Editor in Chief of the Hungarian journal “Nemzet és Biztonság” a peer-reviewed journal on security and defence policy in Hungary.

Andras Edl

Andras Edl is a PhD student at the Ludovika University of Public Service with a broad experience both in the private sector (i.e. Morgan Stanley) and the state administration (i.e. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade). He holds a broad range of international scholarships at the University of Vienna, Austria (2018), Josai International University, Japan (2016–2017), Qingdao Binhai University, China (2014). He is enthusiastic about global security, space activity and security, psychology (especially education) and societal issues. His research area are actual trends and developments of the space industry, and the relationship between space programs and international security.

Balint Somkuti

Research professor

Balint Somkuti is a Military Historian and a Security Policy Expert. He specialises in modern warfare, irregular and guerrilla warfare, as well as other forms of interest advancement. He is the co-author of Kis háborúk nagy hatással [Small Wars with Big Impact]. A regular guest in military and security policy issues in various TV and radio shows in Hungary, but also in places such as Belarus and South Africa.

Alice Barana

Alice Barana is a postdoctoral researcher in Mathematics Education at the University of Turin. She holds a degree in Mathematics and a PhD in Mathematics Education. She teaches Maths at secondary school and University. She is a member of the DELTA - Digital Education for Learning and Teaching Advances - Research Group of the University of Turin. Andrea Beccaro

Andrea Beccaro is Professor of Strategic Studies, International Relations and Security Studies at SUISS, University of Turin. He worked in several research institutes (Freie University, Berlin; College of Europe Warsaw; IRAD, Rome) and his research is mainly focused on strategic thinking, security issues on the MENA region (mainly on Iraq, Syria, Libya), modern terrorism (mainly ISIS), and theory and practice of irregular warfare, i.e. counterinsurgency and modern evolution. Antonino Cambria is a PhD student in Strategic Sciences at the Higher Defense Study Center in Rome and at the University of Turin. He graduated in International Relations at the University of Turin. Walter Coralluzzo

Valter Coralluzzo is Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Turin, where he also teaches Foreign Policy Analysis and Strategic Studies. He has served as Director of CISP, an Italian Interuniversity Centre for Peace Studies, and is a member of the editorial board of Rivista di Politica. His main research interests focus on transformations of war, international relations theory and Italian foreign policy. Nicola Cristadoro

Nicola Cristadoro is an officer in the Italian Army. He holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Milan, a degree in Strategic Sciences from the University of Turin and a degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Trieste. For many years he worked in the field of Military Intelligence and Security, deepening his studies on the doctrine and organisation of the Russian Armed Forces. He is also an expert on Information Operations and PsyOps. He has published numerous articles in "Rivista Militare", "Rivista Italiana Difesa" (RID), "Analisi Difesa", "Difesa Online", "Nuova Antologia Militare", "Limes".

Fabio De Ninno

Marina Marchisio Conte

Marina Marchisio Conte is full professor of Complementary Mathematics at the University of Turin and Delegate of the Rector for the development and promotion of the University's Digital Education strategies. Her research is focused on Digital Education, in particular learning and teaching Mathematics and scientific disciplines with digital methodologies, innovative technologies, open education adn open educational resources. She coordinates the DELTA - Digital Education for Learning and Teaching Advances - Research Group of the University of Turin. She is a member of the Problem Posing and Solving working group of the Italian Ministry of Education which involves more than 800 secondary schools, 2000 teachers and 30000 students all over Italy. She is the President of the SUISS and is the coordinator of a PhD Program in Strategic Sciences. She coordinates several research and didactic projects, held and organized numerous conferences, and is the author of several publications on Digital Education.

Fabio Roman

Fabio Roman is a post-doc researcher at the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences of the University of Turin. Holder of a PhD in Numerical Analysis, his main research interests concern the use of methodological solutions and technologies for learning and teaching STEM disciplines through the use of digital tools and the designing learning environments. Enrico Spinello

Military Officer

Enrico Spinello is a Senior Officer of the Italian Army. He works in the IT Army Education and Training Command and School of Applied Military Studies, Turin as Section Chief for University and External Relations and he is the Coordinator for International Mobility at SUISS, University Interdepartmental School for Strategic Science. He is a teacher at SUISS and he is involved in several Erasmus KA2 research projects in the security and defence area. He is the IT Army Representative in the Executive Academic Board (EAB), Implementation Group (IG) at the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) and IG Vice Chair for Education.

Dr. Attias Shay

Lecturer in the School of Communications at Bar-Ilan University and senior research fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and the Center for International Communication (CIC). His research revolves around a concept he coined, "Peer to Peer Diplomacy.” He has held several senior positions in communication and diplomacy, including as founding head of the department for public diplomacy in the Prime Minister's Office and special public diplomacy envoy of Israel's Ministry of Absorption and Foreign Affairs' Consulate in Boston. He specializes in diplomatic studies, US diplomacy, politics and media, international communication, and digital diplomatic crisis communication.

Prof. Eitan Shamir

is a Senior Lecturer at the Political Science Department, Bar-Ilan University and a Senior Research Associate at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA Center). Prior to his academic position, he was in charge of the National Security Doctrine Department at the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office. Before joining the Ministry, he was a Senior Fellow at the Dado Center for Interdisciplinary Military Studies (CIMS) at the IDF General Headquarters. He is expert on insurgencies and combat doctrine. His research interest and publications focus on topics such as strategy, command, military innovation and reforms, and military culture.

Dr. Eado Hecht

is a Military Analyst focusing mainly on the relationship between military theories, military doctrines and actual practice. He is Senior Researcher at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and teaches courses on military theory and military history at Bar-Ilan University, Haifa University and Reichman University and in a variety of courses in the Israel Defense Forces. He has published more than ten books and text-books and more than 50 articles and has been the scientific editor of six books.

Dr. Dany Shoham, PhD

Presently a senior researcher at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, Bar-Ilan University, Israel; specifically in the field of biological and chemical warfare. Formerly a senior analyst in the same field at the Analysis and Production Division of the IDF Directorate of Military Intelligence (mainly covering the Arab countries and Iran). Has PhD in medical virology, Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Eyal Pinko, PhD

As a seasoned professional he leads and delivers strategic solutions for complex and dynamic environments. He has a proven track record of applying expertise and insights from the Israeli security system, the academic world, and the business sector to help clients achieve their goals, desires, and missions.

Andrew Dolan

Professor

Andrew Dolan is a graduate from the University of Glasgow and the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. On resigning his commission, he became a member of the international staff in the Office of the Special Advisor to the NATO Secretary General. During this time, he worked as a U.K. National Expert and consultant to the European Commission. Following a period as a Research Fellow at the U.K. Defence Academy, he left government service to act as a consultant to the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency. He is currently a senior advisor to DTRA and the U.S. DOE, as well as a recently appointed Ludovika Fellow on Artificial Intelligence and Public Policy at the Ludovika University of Public Service, Budapest, Hungary. He is Director of the Centre for the Study of New Security Challenges.

Agnes Martony

Dr Martony is fully qualified and trained lawyer with 30 years of experience. She has graduated with Summa cum Laude from Eötvös Lóránt University and became a qualified judge at 1992 at Pest District Court (PKKB). Dr Martony has chosen to continue her carrier as an attorney as member the Budapest Bar where she worked in the field of private law, corporate law and intellectual property law. She was always interested in the human rights aspects of her work (civil liberties, privacy). In 1990 she was a student at the European Law Academy (Florence, Italy) to study ‘European Law and The Protection of Human Rights in Europe.’ During the academic year between November 1990 and December 1991 Dr Martony studied in Amiens, at the University of Picardie (now Jules Verne) as one of the French Government’s Scholarship winner and completed her D.E.S.S level studies. Since 2004 Dr Martony is director of The Centre for the Study of New Security Challenges Ltd (CSNSC) where she could focus on her research topics on human rights issues. Since 2017 Dr Martony has been involved in the work of AI research in CSNSC. She is one of the founders and manager of the AI FORUM Hungary since 2017. Her area of research among others is prediction, face recognition, deep fake, privacy, AI governance and regulation. In 2020 she has completed the University of Edinburgh ‘Data Ethics Ai and Responsible Innovation’ course. Dr Martony has the professional knowledge and background to effectively project manage. She has coordinated and managed numerous international projects with the European Space Agency and with ERASMUS+ as part of international consortium.

Infantry officer of the Romanian Land Forces, currently is associate professor, Dean of Faculty of Military Sciences, “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy, Sibiu, Romania. He has a PhD in Military Sciences and Intelligence, master’s degree in International Affairs and postgraduate study certificates for: Defense Resources Management for Senior Officials and Crisis management. Expertise area covers military sciences, and comprehensive integrated approach in military conflicts and in complex operational environments. He has contributed to over 15 books, has served on roughly 40 international conference and he has participated in over 10 research projects

BG Prof.Eng. habil, PhD Bârsan, Ghiţă

The Commandant (Rector) of LFA. He holds a PhD diploma in Engineering Sciences since 1997 and is also a habilitated doctor since 2014, coordinating PhD students in the field of Military Sciences. His field of research: Defense Modeling and Simulation, Military Sciences, E-learning etc. He was the program director in the e-learning implementation within the Romanian Land Forces Staff and was a member of the working group Partnership for Peace PfP Consortium Geneva – Advanced Distributed Learning. His scientific work includes the elaboration of an extensive number of books and papers related to his area of expertise and to the topic of the project

LTC Prof. habil, PhD Tudorache Paul

Professor and Vice-dean for Academics within Faculty of Military Sciences at “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu. He completed doctoral and habilitation studies in Military Sciences at the “Carol I” National Defence University where he is a PhD coordinator. His expertise area covers multidomain operations, especially decision-making in full spectrum operations. He has authored valuable books and scientific papers in the field of Military Science, most of which focus on research directions and strategies for innovating and revolutionizing military capabilities

Col. Assoc. Prof., PhD Ispas Lucian

Infantry officer of the Romanian Land Forces with multinational experience. Currently he is Associate Professor and Vice-Rector for Academics at “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu. Since 2013, he posses the PhD title in Military Science and Intelligence and he is also a subjects matter expert in various fields such as military capabilities and cross-cultural awareness in the multinational operations

Major Assoc. Prof., PhD Cîrdei Ionuț-Alin

Associate Professor at LFA. He has obtained a PhD title in Military Sciences, in 2015, has a master’s degree in Defense Diplomacy, attended several specialization courses such as: Exercise planning, Management of Critical infrastructure protection, Law of armed conflict, Conflict management and negotiation, Moniteur des techniques commando. He has operational experience being deployed for a 3-years tour at the Joint Force Command Naples, Italy, as a staff officer and is also the author of valuable works related to hybrid warfare, hybrid threats, security issues, critical infrastructures etc

Assoc.Prof., PhD Oancea Romana

Head of Technical Sciences Department at LFA and associated professor since 2018. She has a PhD in Electronic Engineering since 2011. She participated in several international and national projects and grants, both as coordinator and member. She published scientific papers in journals or conferences in the field of Cybersecurity, Image processing, and e-Learning

Assist.Prof., PhD Isabela Dragomir

Assistant Professor at the “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu, she teaches general and military English at graduate and post-graduate level. She obtained a PhD in Philology (with focus on Linguistics) in 2019.
Her fields of research include, but are not limited to Linguistics, EFL, ESP, adult learning, E-learning, gender mainstreaming. She also acts as a language expert in several international and national projects and grants, and has coordinated public diplomacy and educational projects under the aegis of NATO PDD.

LTC Firănescu Marius-Radu

Chief accountant at “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu. He has a master’s degree in Accounting, expertise and audit and attended a Defense Resource Management specialization course. In his career he has was member in several national projects and grants as a Financial Advisor

Eng. Gligorea Ilie

Systems engineer and associate professor in the Department of Technical Sciences of the Faculty of Military Management of “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu, where he teaches the subject “Applied Informatics”. He is a graduate engineer with a degree in Computer Science. In the academy he is in charge of design, implementation and maintenance of IT systems, and his duties include designing the basic IT infrastructure to perform key tasks, establishing network rules for cybersecurity and troubleshooting network errors or other technical problems, he is responsible for evaluating systems, determining problems, providing solutions to problems that arise, designing systems, upgrading systems, maintaining systems and finding ideas for possible improvements that can be made to a system in the future

Ms. Herman Ramona-Elena

Erasmus institutional coordinator at “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu since 2017. She graduated from Applied Modern Languages (English and French) with a bachelor degree in Philology; master’s degree in Management of Organizations; bachelor of law and also a sworn translator – interpreter in English and French language. Over the past 10 years, she has been a member (project secretary, human resources responsible, project coordinator) in the implementation team of two national projects financed through European funds (FSE – POSDRU) and in two KA2 strategic partnership / cooperation projects under the Erasmus+ framework

Vojtech Jurčák

He is a retired colonel of the Slovakian Air Force who works at the Armed Forces Academy (AFA) of general Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Liptovsky Mikulaš, significantly participates in the development of the security theory, defence of the state in the context of national and international security and operations of the international crisis management organisations. He is the author and co-author of four monographs, two university textbooks, and many university scripts. He is the principal investigator and co-investigator of research and development projects, one of which is within the EDA. He was a guarantor and member of the scientific boards of international scientific conferences in the Czech Republic, Poland and Ukraine. He is currently a professor – head of the Security and Defence Department at the AFA, and he is the guarantor of the study field Security and Defence of the State.

Ján Marek

He was born 1970. He works at the Academy of the Armed Forces of General M. R. Štefanik. He graduated in Land Forces Military Academy in Vyškov. Later on, he completed postgraduate studies at the Military Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš where He was trained in combined commander specialization. He completed Executive Program in Advanced Security Studies at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. He completed Higher Command Studies Course at the Baltic Defense College in Estonia. He completed his doctoral studies at the Academy of the Armed Forces of General M.R. Štefanik, specialization National and international Security, in 2020. He specialized in field of research of international relations, military arts and security. He is author of textbook and the wide portfolio of scientific and professional articles and studies in domestic and foreign journals.

Jaroslav Kompan

is a recently assigned as assistant professor at the Department of Military tactics and operational art of the Armed Forces Academy of General M. R. Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš. Field of research are mainly focused on military engineering, operational art, operational employment of land forces, national and international security. NATO DEEP SME on tactical and operational level planning and officer’s education enhancement for Ukraine, Iraq and Georgia.

Michal Vajda

is an assistant at the Department of Military tactics and operational art of the Armed Forces Academy of General M. R. Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš. He is an artillery officer, his field of research is joint fire support and its integration into operations with focus on artillery gunnery. He is a doctoral student of the Security and Defence of the State programme.

Milan Turaj

is an assistant professor at the Department of Military tactics and operational art of the Armed Forces Academy of General M. R. Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš. Fields of research are mainly focused on joint fire support, Joint Terminal Attack Controllers, integration of joint fire support into maneuver of land forces, national and international security. He is designated for acting as a Chief of STANEVAL and Programme Manager of NATO accredited National JTAC Trainning Programme.

Ján Mišík

received a PhD in personal and property protection and EUR ING in security engineering. He held the position of assistant professor at the Department of Security and Defense of the Armed Forces Academy. In his professional activity, he focuses on security management, risk management and international security issues. He currently works as a general state counsellor of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic.

Daniel Brezina

currently works and lectures at the Department of Security and Defence of the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik. He is also engaged in scientific and research activities oriented towards the optimisation of decision-making processes of crisis management in the conditions of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic in the prevention and resolution of crisis phenomena of a non-military nature. He presented the results of project activities at international conferences at home and abroad. He is the recipient of the award for the best journalistic contribution for 2019 in the field of Regional Development and Rural Development. He is the author of a scientific monograph entitled Rozhodovacie procesy na nižších úrovniach krízového riadenia [Decision-making Processes at Lower Levels of Crisis Management], in which he emphasises the application of proposals for improving the activities and organisational measures of crisis management bodies at the level of self-government and local state administration. From 2022, he is the main representative for the Slovak Republic in the System Analysis and Studies Panel within the North Atlantic Alliance.

Boris Ďurkech

is a retired Brigadier General of the Slovakian Air Forces, from missiles engineers branch, who works also in the past as General Director for Personnel at Slovak Ministry of Defence. Actually in position as civilian Associate Professor, Vice-rector and former Rector of the Armed Forces Academy (AFA) by general Milan Rastislav Štefánika in Liptovsky Mikulaš. He served also at Slovak Embassies abroad as Chief of the Slovak Military Defence Attaché offices in Spain, Turkey, Iran and Georgia and also fulfilling military duty as UN Team commander at UN observing mission in Angola. Lather was Vice-Dean of MILLAD - military and polices diplomatic association in UN HQ - New York. Working also as former director of Slovak military diplomatic institute he is hawing practical experience from areas in Military diplomacy, International relations, National and international security an proportional knowledge’s realizing all spectre of UN peace keeping operations.

Martin Chovanec

is recently being occupied position as director of rectorate / head of rector´s office of the Armed Forces Academy of General M. R. Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš. Field of research is mostly linked to the Professional Military Education systems in NATO partner´s countries within a NATO Defence Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) in Bosna and Hercegovina, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine. He is also active member of the PfP Consortium´s Education Development Working Group.

Lívia Krekáčová

Institutional coordinator of the Erasmus programme at the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik and also works under the Vice-Rector for Science as an Administrative assistant at the Department of Science and International Relations. She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia and a Master's degree in Security Studies. She is working on KA2 projects- Cooperation Partnerships, Strategic Partnerships within the Erasmus+ program.
